I started sending out one postcard almost per a week in 1993, on which I printed a word or phrase I came up with in my everyday activity. I made 813 words as of July 31, 2011 increasing every week Meanwhile those words have come to be called “TOKITAMA Words”
“TOKITAMA Words” are snapshots of perception. Any time I feel that “This is a single aspect of the entire world”, I put that system, scene or bond into words, just like a photographer take snapshots. I design them, print them out on postcards, and send it the people, so far.
It depends on the individual how to interpret TOKITAMA Words. Different interpretations are more than welcomed. There is no right answer. I’d like you to actively use them. Words change and develop while being used, which is really fun. TOKITAMA is just the start and I’ll leave bringing them up in your hands.
TOKITAMA Words are seeds to communication that is a start for communication with friends, boyfriends/girlfriends, family, business customers, and above all, with your inner self. You can be aware of differences and similarities among people and discover the real self.
. I would really hope TOKITAMA Words to ripple out, that everybody speaks out about it, and by doing so, everybody will get a little happier and the world will get a little more comfortable to live in. Words really have power, don’ they?
